Information Technology is made of two words “Information” and “Technology”. Here Information can be defined as “collection of data for a related object” and Technology can be referred as “the operation and communication on collected information.” When we merge these two definitions then we get the definition of IT, as “IT is the fusion of computing and communication for changing our way of working.”



During the last few yeas IT and IT-enabled services have emerged as a fastest growing industry in India as well as in other developed countries. Engineering graduates with computer knowledge from India continue to be attracted towards software companies of India as well as of America and Europe that offer attractive salaries and provide avenues for working abroad. New avenues for IT students are emerging in India in the BPO, KPO and BMPO sectors acceptability. Further MNC’s are coming in India for setting up research centers for Telecom, Networking, Management of Information Systems and Network Security.

The department has a strong tradition of 'hands-on' teaching, providing students with the opportunity to mix course content and practical experience. This approach, coupled with our close involvement with industry, produces graduates who prove themselves at the workplace. Our graduates are traditionally employed as computing professionals in fields such as commerce, business, scientific research, and engineering.

There are 08 Computer Labs in the college well equipped with P-IV Computer in computer & IT Department. We have total 400 Computer with 20 Printers connected in LAN. We have licensed Software like C, C++, Visual Studio 6.0, Linux 7.2, Linux 8.0, Red Hat Linux 9.0, Sco Unix, Oracle, SQL Server 7.0, Corel Draw, Pcq. Linux, Stellar, Fortran 77/Dos, Pascal/Dos, Novel Netware 5.0, Windows NT, Windows 98,Windows 2000 Professional. We have upgraded one lab this year and installed 60 Thin Clients, which can work in multiple environments. We are having Wifi campus very soon.

GRADUATION AND DEGREE :
Students who have successfully completed all examinations of their selected course will be awarded the

• Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech)

by the Rajasthan Technical University, Kota.


ENTRY REQUIREMENT :

• B.Tech. (Morning / Evening) : The minimum qualification is 10+2 (Class XII) with 45% marks for General candidates (40% for SC/ST/OBC) and with the subject group Physics & Mathematics as Compulsory subjects and Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Sc. and Biology as optional subject (anyone of the optional subjects) of any recognized Board or any other equivalent recognized examination.


• B.Tech. (Lateral Entry) : The minimum qualification is Diploma in Engineering (Polytechnic) and 10% seats are reserved to take admission in third semester directly.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE :
Interested candidates are required to submit the following :

• Application form that can be obtained from college website or directly from college campus.
• Attested certificate copy of the entire educational certificate.
• Should also produce any original certificate at the time of admission.
• Registration fees non refundable.
• Candidate should also provide AIEEE, RPT, and Gate Score Card.
• SC, ST & OBC cast certificate should also be provided.
• Residential proof (Domicile) should be provided
• Candidate must submit twelve past post size photograph.

To improve the quality of the educational, social, and personal lives of the students of I.T. Department, "GLITS (Grasper League Of Information Technology Students)" society of I.T. Department was formed on 15 Feb 2010. The GLITS Society will promote high-quality student learning. It will advocate student interests, as well as those of the other department of A.I.E.T. The Society will provide its members with diverse opportunities to become exceptional leaders. It will be flexible enough to accommodate the changing world. The GLITS priorities will be determined by its members. The Society will foster communication, both internally and externally, in order to be democratic, fair, accountable to, and accessible to its members. It will provide services students want and can use. It will cultivate unity and goodwill among its members, but will also encourage free and open debate, as well as respect for differing views. It will solve problems constructively GLITS Society has launched a new subscription service, TEXPLORE, an important step in the development of The INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY Field. As part of GLITS, The TEXPLORE is also opening up its vast archive of articles in the field on INFORMATIOIN TECHNOLOGY. TEXPLORE readers can read up to 10 articles from the archive a month. Readers can obtain information about many new gizmos and latest technology available in the market
